Carrots are often overlooked due to their year-round availability and relatively low price. Yet, our customers tell us that these sweet, larger than life, as nature intended carrots are super tasty and really bring some dishes to life. Right now, as we enter cooler periods, these bad boys are the perfect compliment for a casserole, stew, pho, steamed or pan-fried with butter and cracked black pepper. We love carrots, and it's one of our kid's favourite snacks in their school lunchboxes. Dont's overlook carrots, and try these delicious veggies in our boxes each and every week.

Roast butternut with paprika, sage, crushed chilli

Roast butternut with paprika, sage, crushed chilli glazed with honey and butter.
Crush the paprika, chill, sage, and salt and pepper in a pestle or similar.
Peel then slice the butternut using knifes on each side so you don’t cut right through. Baste with butter then sprinkle with paprika and chilli before roasting for 15 mins @200c. Take out after 15mins then baste again with butter and glaze with honey, sprinkling a little more paprika, chilli, sage and season with salt and pepper. Cook for a further a 30 mins before repeating the last step and back in for a final 15mins. 😋
